Group A:
Cable = 3 × 3 − 1 × 3 + 5% wastage
= 9 − 3 + 0.30 = 6.30 m / point

Conduit = 2.5 − 1 + 5% wastage
= 1.5 + 0.075 = 1.575 ≈ 1.58 m / point

Group B:
Cable = 3 × 4 − 1.2 × 3 + 5% wastage
= 12 − 3.6 + 0.40 = 8.80 m / point

Conduit = 3.5 − 1.2 + 5% wastage
= 2.3 + 0.12 = 2.42 m / point

Group C:
Cable = 3 × 5 − 1.5 × 3 + 5% wastage
= 15 − 4.5 + 0.52 = 11.02 m / point

Conduit = 4.5 − 1.5 + 5% wastage
= 3 + 0.15 = 3.15 m / point

Total Quantity Formula:
Total Cable = Cable Quantity per Point × Number of Points
Total Conduit = Conduit Quantity per Point × Number of Points

  • Cable quantity includes 5% wastage.
  • Conduit quantity includes 5% wastage.
  • Cable considered is 1.5 sq. mm ISI marked, FRLS/HFFR PVC insulated, single-core copper conductor cable.
  • Conduit considered is 20 mm dia. ISI marked steel conduit.
  • The calculator provides quantity based on the standard Group A, Group B and Group C analysis values.
